Riding habit

mlsdesignsI promised to share my inspiration with you all, so here we go!
I'm using this spencer from the Met as my main inspiration, with cream wool soutache and cream plush for the collar and cuffs (more on that later)

I don't know yet if I'll do the pointy cuffs or straight ones, it depends on if I decide to do any trim. I wasn't planning to copy this trim, nor the trim on the back, as I only have wide soutache, but maybe I could embroider it...?
My skirt bodice is based on this portrait, but without the sleeves/shoulder treatment:
